Manchester United took charge of their Europa League quarter-final against Granada with a 2-0 first-leg win at Estadio Los Carmenes, thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes.
On 31 minutes, Rashford scored his eighth European goal of the season with an exquisite control and finish from Victor Lindelof's precise diagonal, before Fernandes put the game out of reach with a late goal.
The streets were lined with fans as the teams arrived at the stadium for what was probably the most important night in Granada's history as they competed in a European quarter-final for the first time - but despite forcing David de Gea into some routine saves, the La Liga club barely threatened United.
United are now in pole place to advance to the Europa League semi-finals in their return to Old Trafford on Thursday, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will be without captain Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, and Luke Shaw, who have all been suspended after picking up yellow cards.

Granada raced out of the blocks, but United's biggest worry after the hosts' fast start was Rashford's health, who, despite being passed fit to play, seemed to be in pain and nursing an injury in the first quarter of an hour.
